Boise Cascade Company, DeRidder, Louisiana

With a previous employer, the Lagniappe Environmental staff developed a solid waste management strategy for the Boise Cascade DeRidder, LA Mill  with its nine (9) solid waste management units. The strategy started with the auditing of the Boise Cascade solid waste system and the audit pointed out several inadequacies in the system, including the fact that the facility was overpaying its LDEQ waste tax by of $30,000 annually. The strategy included the development of the following projects:

• Solid Waste Audit/Management Plan

• Five Mandatory Modification Documents

• Industrial Landfill Closure Plan

• New Subtitle D Landfill Permit Application

• Waste Inflow Pilot Studies

• Hydrogeological Model/GIS system development

• Beneficial Use Plan
