Chuoke Plumbing, New Orleans, Louisiana
Lagniappe Environmental was retained in 2002 by Chuoke Plumbing to prepare a RECAP Assessment and a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for the 5.0-acre former oilfield support facility. The subject site was located on Woodland Highway in New Orleans, Louisiana. LE conducted the RECAP Investigation, installing over 20 boreholes and identified one Area of Investigation (AOI), which was composed of PAH contaminated soil at a depth of 6 feet. LE then submitted the CAP, which called for the excavation of the PAH contaminated soil in two-foot lifts and the recovering of the area with clean fill.
Lagniappe Environmental selected Ranger Environmental to complete the CAP. LE then provided construction oversight for the CAP, completing the $10,000 construction project on budget. Approximately 40 yards of contaminated soil were excavated and the area filled. After the CAP report was approved by the DEQ, a conveyance notice was recorded with the City of New Orleans. The Certificate of Completion was then issued by the DEQ. Entire costs for the project totaled about $40,000. |
