Phase IV Convention Center Expansion, New Orleans, Louisiana

Lagniappe Environmental was retained in 2001 by the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center to prepare a RECAP Assessment for two lots on the 80-acre Convention center expansion site. The subject site was located at corners of S. Peters and Race Streets in New Orleans, Louisiana. LE conducted the RECAP Investigation, installing over 40 boreholes and identified three Areas of Investigation (AOIs), which was composed of petroleum and lead contaminated soil. The DEQ approved the RECAP Assessment and the Convention Center then bid out the remediation for the subject site. Costs totaled about $60,000 and took approximately 18 months to complete.
